CFO Persona: Cameron Blake – The Financial Navigator
Cameron Blake didn’t take the straight path to the CFO seat—they earned it by solving messy problems that others couldn’t. Their career began in audit, then moved through FP&A, operations, and eventually leadership roles where they were the bridge between finance and strategy.
What makes Cameron exceptional isn’t just their ability to build a perfect model or close the books—it’s their intuition for what matters most in the business. They don’t just analyze—they advise. Whether stepping into a client’s business for a few months or supporting a portfolio of growing companies, Cameron knows how to move fast, stabilize the financial function, and drive decisions forward.
They’re not looking for credit—they’re looking for outcomes. They speak “CEO” fluently, coach Controllers with care, and build trust by telling the truth (especially when it’s hard).
How Cameron Shows Up
- A strategic lens with operational depth
- A calm and confident presence in high-stakes rooms
- A leader who can drop into any client environment and quickly add value
- A financial translator—makes numbers meaningful to non-finance teams
- A coach to Controllers, a guide to founders, and a partner to internal teams
Passions
- Driving Clarity – helping leadership teams see the truth in the numbers
- Scaling Intelligently – aligning financial infrastructure with growth goals
- Coaching Finance Talent – growing Controllers and Advisors into leaders
- Getting to the Root – asking the hard questions to move businesses forward

Who We’re Looking For (Cameron Blake Type)
We’re looking for a CFO who thrives in entrepreneurial, fast-moving environments. Someone who can lead the financial strategy while mentoring the team beneath them. This CFO can handle board decks and margin improvement plans—but they’ll also roll up their sleeves when the close is messy or the cash flow is tight.
They don’t need perfection—they need progress. They show up with clarity, courage, and a bias for execution. If you know someone who blends strategy, leadership, and operational finance—and loves helping businesses grow—we’d love to meet them.
