Role Overview
The Senior Director of Operations will serve as the operational backbone of GHX – leading platform operations, programs, internal systems, and cross-functional teams. This role ensures discipline, speed, and excellence across execution, while supporting the organization’s growth, portfolio needs, and ecosystem partnerships.
Ideal for a strong operator with experience scaling multi-stakeholder environments and building institutional systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership & Systems Building
- Build and institutionalize processes, governance frameworks, SOPs, and operational playbooks.
- Set up dashboards, reporting structures, KPIs, and cross-team mechanisms for accountability.
- Drive operational cadence across GHX programs, pilots, partnerships, and ecosystem initiatives.
- Program Management & Execution
- Participate in planning and execution of GHX programs – accelerator cohorts, market entry initiatives, venture studio tracks, hospital pilots, and data-collection engagements.
- Ensure quality delivery, milestone tracking, stakeholder alignment, and measurable outcomes.
- Remove execution bottlenecks and create systems for continuous improvement across programs.
- Cross-Functional Leadership (HR, Marketing, Finance, IT & Admin)
HR & People Operations
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, goal-setting, and culture-building.
- Implement people systems that reinforce accountability, ownership, and mission alignment.
Finance Coordination
- Work with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and monthly financial reviews.
- Track revenue performance of programs and partnerships and ensure financial discipline.
Marketing & Communications
- Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure GHX programs, partnerships, and thought leadership are visible across channels.
- Align external communications with GHX’s brand, strategy, and ecosystem positioning.
Admin & Compliance Coordination
- Manage facilities, vendors, procurement, travel, and administrative operations.
- Liaise with legal/compliance teams for contracts, documentation, and regulatory coordination.
Ecosystem & Partner Management
- Act as an operational face of GHX with hospitals, universities, government institutions, and strategic partners.
- Lead onboarding and operational delivery for pilots, collaborations, and ecosystem initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with partners to ensure structured workflows and long-term engagement.
P&L and Performance Management
- Support organizational P&L oversight alongside leadership.
- Track revenues, margins, expenses, and resource allocation across programs and business lines.
- Ensure predictable execution through disciplined planning and performance monitoring.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Build and manage cross-functional teams (HR, Ops, Program Delivery, IT, Admin).
- Set clear expectations, drive accountability, and mentor team members.
- Promote a high-ownership culture aligned with GHX’s mission and pace.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Must-Haves
- 10-15 years of experience in operations, program leadership, consulting, or cross-functional roles in accelerators, venture studios, health-tech, or innovation-driven organizations.
- Proven ability to build systems from the ground up and manage multi-stakeholder operations.
- Experience leading HR, IT, admin, or business support functions.
- Strong communication, execution capability, and structured problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to the healthcare or life sciences ecosystem (or ability to quickly learn deeply).
Preferred
- Experience in innovation hub or venture studio operations.
- Background in consulting, strategy, or organizational building.
- Ability to scale teams, manage complexity, and work closely with senior leadership.
