Backed by private equity, the business is entering its next phase of scale and operational maturity and is now seeking an experienced CFO to join the executive team.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this role will lead the finance function and act as a true business partner to the Board and investors. You will balance hands‑on financial control with strategic commercial insight, supporting operational decision‑making and long‑term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end‑to‑end leadership of finance, covering control, reporting, governance, compliance, and statutory obligations
- Act as owner of the P&L, cash flow and balance sheet, ensuring financial accuracy, discipline, and insight
- Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, long‑term financial planning, and scenario modelling
- Partner closely with operations and commercial teams to drive profitability, pricing discipline, and working‑capital performance
- Manage banking, treasury, cash forecasting, FX exposure, and capital funding requirements
- Serve as the primary financial contact for private‑equity investors and external stakeholders
- Build, develop, and lead a high‑performing finance team, embedding strong controls and a commercial mindset
- Contribute actively at Board level, challenging assumptions and influencing strategic decisions
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Significant post‑qualification experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Previous experience in a private‑equity–backed business
- Commercially minded finance leader with strong operational and analytical capability
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands‑on levels
- Experience supporting investment decisions, capital projects, and business growth
- Confident, credible presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and investors
- Technically strong, systems‑literate, and highly analytical
