Most CFO roles come with a finance function and a list of things to “optimise.”
This one doesn’t.
This is a blank page CFO role in a PE-backed professional services platform with strong EBITDA, capital to deploy, and an ambitious acquisition plan.
The challenge isn’t deals. It’s integrating them, controlling cash, and building a finance engine that can actually scale.
You’ll work hands-on with the CEO, Chair, M&A Director and PE sponsor, building controls, consolidating numbers, and putting the group finance function in place.
As the platform grows through acquisitions, the role evolves into strategic leadership, driving value creation, debt readiness, and long-term planning.
The role:
What you’ll do
- Build a scalable finance function for a multi-entity business
- Lead consolidation, reporting, and MI for the Board and PE sponsor
- Own M&A financial integration and system rationalisation
- Introduce KPIs, tighten cash and working capital, and plan for future debt
What we’re looking for
- CFO or senior finance leader in PE-backed professional services
- Experience building finance teams, systems, and controls
- Strong commercial instincts around cash, working capital, and performance
- Comfortable being hands-on now and strategic as the platform matures
Why it’s exciting
- You’re shaping the finance function from scratch, not inheriting it
- Direct exposure to PE, M&A execution, and long-term value creation
- A role that grows with the business
