About the Role
A rapidly growing logistics and energy infrastructure company is seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer, to help scale operations profitably and intelligently. This is a senior leadership role focused on understanding asset performance at a granular level, optimizing financial planning, and leveraging AI to create real-time reporting that drives better decisions across the organization.
The position will be based in Houston and will play a key role in guiding the company’s transition of accounting and finance operations from San Antonio to Houston.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain detailed asset performance reporting — tracking ROI, utilization, and lifecycle costs.
- Partner with operations to strengthen budget control and forecasting accuracy.
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and support strategic growth initiatives.
- Evaluate and structure financing options for fleet expansion and capital projects.
- Deploy AI-powered tools and dashboards to improve the speed and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Collaborate with accounting leadership to ensure a smooth transition of finance operations to Houston.
- Provide executive leadership with actionable financial models, forecasts, and performance dashboards.
- Support capital raise or M&A efforts with data-driven analysis.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or strategic finance.
- Experience in asset-intensive industries (logistics, energy, or transportation) preferred.
- Proven understanding of asset-based financing, ROI modeling, and capital efficiency.
- Proficiency with AI reporting and analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.).
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to bridge finance and operations to drive results.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $235,000
- Annual Bonus: 35% target based on performance
