Tatum was recently made aware of an urgent interim CFO need in Houston, TX. This is a large and multi-national client and it is in need of a consultant with a boardroom presence and prior experience in similar environments:
Role
- Lead the Finance & Accounting team, including direct reports: Interim Controller (Assistant Controller filling the role); Treasurer; General Manager of Tax; and Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis.
- Work closely with the CEO, COO and operating leadership to drive the business.
- Specific focus on technical accounting, the accuracy and timeliness of accounting and reporting and audit readiness.
- Responsible for compliance, risk and pricing of the Asset Backed Trading function.
- Active participation in budget, forecast and analytics.
- Support of the litigation as needed.
- Commitment to the engagement through orderly transition and knowledge transfer to the “permanent CFO.
- In-office presence in Houston full time.
- This is an immediate need.
Profile of the Best Fit Tatum Resource
- CPA with top tier Public Accounting experience (up to Manager); MBA.
- Extensive multi-dimensional CFO experience in mega-cap size companies.
- Oil & Gas industry experience, refining or petrochemical
- Proficient in technical accounting, reporting, audits, compliance and risk.
- Effective leader with advanced communication skills and a boardroom presence.
- Proven track record of managing financial stability through highly complex corporate structures, litigation and high-stakes shareholder transitions.
- Comfortable in an interim role in the circumstances.
- Willing to be in the Houston office full time.
- Commitment to the full length of the engagement.
