About The Role
As a GTM Strategy & Partnerships Lead on the Commercial Team, you'll step into a pivotal role, becoming the strategic "quarterback" for our most significant and complex global opportunities. This isn't just about managing projects; it's about embedding high-level strategy directly into execution, ensuring we not only win but also successfully launch and scale our most important enterprise partnerships.
You'll be instrumental in shaping how we approach new markets and major clients, owning the development of vertical GTM playbooks and leading crucial discovery workshops that define our path forward. Your ability to craft compelling value propositions that resonate across commercial, product, and technical stakeholders will be key. You'll ensure a seamless, end-to-end experience for our partners, from the initial strategic pitch all the way through successful launch and sustained growth.
This role demands a highly collaborative leader who can seamlessly work across Sales, Insurance, Product, Engineering, and Partner Growth teams. Your mission will be to deliver not just repeatable GTM strategies, but also a consistently excellent client experience for our Tier-1 partners, solidifying Cover Genius's position as a preferred strategic partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Strategic Partner Growth: Co-develop ambitious growth plans with our existing strategic partners, leveraging global best practices, and collaborate closely with regional Partner Growth Managers to drive flawless local execution. You’ll work with some of our most important partners, including some of the top names in tech.
- Pioneer our GTM approach: You'll build and deploy strategic GTM playbooks for key verticals like Banking, Automotive OEMs, and the Gig Economy. These aren't just documents; they're our blueprints for scalable growth, equipping our teams to replicate success.
- Quarterback Strategic Partnerships: Lead the strategic coordination and presence for our largest, most complex pitches from initial discovery through to long-term growth, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment.
- Lead Transformative Discovery: Facilitate deep discovery workshops with our partners, identifying core opportunities, co-designing innovative solutions, and aligning diverse internal and external stakeholders around a shared vision.
- Craft Winning Value Propositions: Develop powerful value propositions and proposals that seamlessly integrate commercial insights with our product and technical capabilities, clearly articulating the unique value Cover Genius brings.
- Ensure Partner Continuity & Experience: Serve as the consistent, strategic client-facing presence from the earliest pre-sales stages through successful launch and ongoing growth, guaranteeing a unified and proactive partner experience.
- Orchestrate Cross-Functional Alignment: Chair cross-functional squads comprising Product, Insurance, Legal, and Engineering to ensure tight alignment, unblock challenges, and drive collective accountability for strategic initiatives.
- Shape Product Roadmap with Partner Insights: Actively partner with our Product team to translate crucial partner insights and market needs directly into a value-proposition-aligned product roadmap.
- Institutionalize Learnings: Systematically document lessons learned from major launches and strategic engagements, converting them into repeatable frameworks and best practices for future success across the organization.
What You Will Bring
- Valuable Experience: You'll have at least 7 years of experience in strategic roles within Go-To-Market (GTM), partnerships, or related fields. We particularly value experience from dynamic environments like consulting, fintech, SaaS, or insurtech, where you've navigated complex enterprise landscapes.
- Strategic Acumen: A deep understanding of enterprise GTM strategies, including developing playbooks, value mapping, and defining a clear vision for complex partnerships. You can translate big-picture strategy into actionable plans.
- Partnership Leadership: Proven ability to lead and grow significant enterprise partnerships, understanding the end-to-end lifecycle from initial engagement through successful launch and sustained growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Exceptional skill in working collaboratively across diverse teams – including Sales, Insurance, Product, Engineering, and Partner Growth – to drive alignment, resolve challenges, and achieve shared goals. You can influence and lead without direct authority.
- Problem Solving: A knack for identifying operational inefficiencies and strategic gaps, and developing practical, repeatable frameworks (like RACI charts and SOPs) to address them and optimize workflows for scale.
- Communication: The ability to articulate complex strategic concepts and value propositions clearly and persuasively to both internal executive stakeholders and external enterprise partners.
- Global Perspective: Experience integrating global best practices into GTM strategies and navigating the nuances of international markets.
- Talent Development: An understanding of the importance of developing high-impact generalist talent and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
