Role Description
Welcome to the Salesforce. We’re continuing our journey of growth and are looking to add a Chief Operating Officer to our South Asia leadership team. This role will report into the South Asia President & CEO and in partnership lead the overall strategy, financial planning including designing the future state and execution for sites across South Asia to be a world class centre of talent and innovation.

Being a trusted partner to the global and local functional leaders like Employee Success, Finance, Legal, Real estate, Technology, Customer Service and Business Technology across the company. The COO Role will be responsible for, amongst other things:
- Being the Trusted parter to the South Asia CEO in helping drive forward South Asia vision to Lead the autonomous Agentic revolution, transforming every business into an Agentforce company, where humans and AI agents collaborate seamlessly to drive efficiency, innovation and growth.
- Develop South Asia as a strategic talent hub for Salesforce, enabling the ‘One Salesforce for the World’ vision. Through our Ohana culture and 1-1-1 model, we commit to driving positive social and environmental impact by operationalizing our core values.
- Help build a formidable brand for SFDC in a highly competitive talent market for the company to be #1 GPTW. Partner with Employee Success (HR) to create robust Leadership practices, build high performance teams, drive Employee engagement and infuse a culture of ethics, diversity and inclusion.
- Lead the South Asia region in the next phase of Agentic era by pioneering the region as customer zero and showcasing the best practices to rest of the world by driving adoption of Agentforce and latest cutting edge AI technologies.
- Partner with all the different functional organisations to drive one South Asia charter, foster collaboration, solve challenges, drive efficiencies and establish functional accountability to ensure seamless running of sites while supporting growth.
- Trusted advisor working with senior management executives and their teams combining the best of Lean, Design thinking and Digital strategies to build breakthrough customer experiences and ways of working with specific focus on operational execution.
- Coordinate with the government bodies both at the state and central level to influence policy and ensure critical infrastructure support.
- Focus on challenging traditional business approaches and leveraging digital and automation strategies to drive productivity, revenue expansion, enhance customer experience, and drive the achievement of long-term growth strategies.
- Lead and expand salesforce start up program across the region with a clear focus on grooming and growing the vibrant external start ups ecosystem, building a strong start up community and identifying areas of joint partnerships along with Salesforce across different teams.
- Establish and oversee robust governance and rigor compliance frameworks across South Asia, ensuring adherence to local regulatory requirements, corporate policies and ethical standards.
Requirement (The Candidate)
- 20+ years’ of experience managing business and finance operations. Exposure to heading a global capability centre would be an added advantage.
- A reputation for company strategy, innovation, operational capabilities, discipline and integrity are paramount.
- Can influence policy and articulate the company’s values at different forums through associations with Indian political and administrative infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in leading innovation and execution excellence in a multi stakeholder setting, spearheading the team’s efforts in sync and in collaboration with global counterparts and colleagues
- Prior P&L Leadership of a product group/site/development centre or BU, strong experience managing/driving budget/resources
- A respected industry leader with strong market credibility gained through results, achievement and exceptional relationships and the availability to develop meaningful relationships with top-level management of the current and future customer of SFDC.
- Exhibits good understanding of differences in operating environments and culture across different geographies and companies.
- Has a detailed understanding of the company and its competitors (current and future), stakeholders and their goals and unmet needs, along with barriers and opportunities
- Hands-on and entrepreneurial style--one that looks to become personally involved in all elements of managing their functional responsibility, and someone who seeks to develop like-minded senior managers with similar capabilities.
