We are supporting a UK listed business in the appointment of an Interim Chief Financial Officer to lead a demanding turnaround and restructuring programme during a period of significant challenge.
This is a board-critical assignment requiring a senior interim CFO with deep experience operating in listed environments, navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and delivering decisive financial restructuring.
The Assignment
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board, the Interim CFO will assume full responsibility for the finance function and play a central role in stabilising and reshaping the business.
Key priorities will include:
- Leading financial restructuring activity, including cash preservation, liquidity management and covenant oversight
- Developing and executing turnaround plans focused on cost base reduction, margin recovery and sustainable performance
- Managing critical Board, investor, lender and advisor relationships in a listed company context
- Restoring confidence in forecasting, reporting, controls and governance
- Providing clear, commercial leadership through a period of heightened scrutiny and change
- Assessing finance capability, leadership and structure, and driving rapid improvement where required
The Individual
This assignment will suit a highly experienced interim CFO who brings:
- Prior CFO experience within a PLC or similarly governed listed environment
- A strong track record of restructuring, turnaround or recovery situations
- Extensive experience working with Boards, audit committees, investors and external advisors
- The ability to quickly impose control, clarity and pace in complex organisations
- Resilience, authority and sound judgement under pressure
- Immediate availability or short notice
