The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a strategic and operational leader responsible for the overall financial management of a large, multi-specialty clinic with more than 200 providers across multiple locations and 930 total staff. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO partners closely with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support organizational viability, growth, and long-term sustainability. This role plays a critical part in advancing the organization’s growth agenda while ensuring strong financial stewardship, operational discipline, and compliance.

Salary Range: $250-350K base + bonus up to 15% of base salary

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of short- and long-term financial plans to support organizational growth and sustainability
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team on financial, operational, and growth initiatives
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new business opportunities, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, leases, and new service lines
- Establish financial standards, operational metrics, and accountability frameworks aligned with growth objectives
- Oversee capital access, investment management, reimbursement strategies, and tax-related matters
- Develop and maintain financial targets, reporting systems, and decision-support tools
- Provide oversight of supply chain and IT strategy in support of clinical and operational effectiveness
- Serve as Corporate Compliance Officer, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management
- Assist with the development, negotiation, administration, and legal review of all organizational contracts
- Provide leadership and supervision to Director-level leaders across Finance, Revenue Cycle Management, Health Information, Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Building Services, and IT
- Foster a mission-driven, high-performance culture through effective leadership and day-to-day management
Position Accountabilities
- Provide executive oversight of all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, tax filings, and financial analysis for the organization
- Partner with the CEO, Board of Directors, and Finance Committee to ensure effective resource utilization, financial sustainability, and support of safe, high-quality patient care
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide financial performance metrics and reporting systems to monitor progress against strategic goals
- Lead the annual budgeting process across all entities, monitor variances, and continuously improve financial literacy among leaders and managers
- Manage organizational cash flow, liquidity, and treasury functions, including banking relationships, investments, and financing strategies
- Provide oversight of the full revenue cycle and payer contracting strategy to optimize reimbursement, accounts receivable performance, and value-based care opportunities
- Monitor regulatory, legislative, and reimbursement changes and assess financial impact to ensure organizational readiness and compliance
- Provide financial leadership and due diligence for business development activities, including acquisitions, joint ventures, real estate, and new service lines
- Lead negotiation and financial oversight of major contracts, including managed care agreements, insurance coverage, IT systems, equipment, and leases
- Serve as Corporate Compliance Officer, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, local, and contractual financial and business regulations; chair the Compliance Committee
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership to Directors across Finance, Revenue Cycle Management, Health Information, IT, Building Services, Lab, and Imaging
- Build and sustain a high-performance leadership team through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and talent development
- Partner with the CEO and Compensation Committee to design, implement, and evolve a physician compensation program aligned with market competitiveness and organizational strategy
- Ensure transparent, accurate physician compensation reporting and support physician understanding of compensation models and incentive structures
- Lead with integrity, visibility, and emotional intelligence, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, collaboration, and financial stewardship across the organization
Required Skills & Experience:
- Seasoned executive leader with strong financial and operational expertise
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive healthcare financial operations experience
- Proven track record of success, ideally serving as CFO in a multi-specialty clinic within a highly competitive market
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution required
- Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
- CPA certification preferred
- Highly visible and practical leader who enjoys collaborating with physicians and staff
