This arrangement will allow you to work some days at a TCHC work location and the rest of the time from home. The amount of time required to work at a TCHC work location is flexible, while considering operational and service delivery requirements.

We are currently searching for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our family at Toronto Community Housing! As a Business Planner, you’ll utilize your expertise and knowledge of research methods and statistical analysis to contribute to the ongoing efforts of Toronto Community Housing to improve the neighborhoods and lives of residents of Toronto.
The Business Planner will focus on cross-divisional initiatives in support of delivering customer-centric service. This role is responsible for initiatives and stakeholder relationships that further Toronto Community Housing’s strategic goals, including customer service. Help the organization reach its goal of service excellence by implementing strategic initiatives and supporting performance reporting, as well build strong internal and external relationships that further Toronto Community Housing’s strategic goals and align with TCHC's tenant focused culture. Furthermore, work towards ensuring the voice of residents (our customer) is considered in decision-making across the organization.
What you’ll do
Develop and implement strategic initiatives
Plan, co-ordinate, communicate, monitor, and report on the implementation of strategic initiatives
Ensure initiatives are delivered in accordance with internal, resident, shareholder, or other requirements
Consult with teams across business units, front-line staff, and residents and executive leadership as appropriate to gain their feedback on content areas
Establish clear rationale, goals, scope, and timetable for initiative completion, distribute and monitor completion of tasks
Development of options, recommendations and plan for completing initiatives.
Preparation and delivery of progress reports, establishment of consensus and recommendations and coordination of implementation of changes in
direction as required.
Provide support for service integration and managing relationships by coordinating process improvement projects
Build relationships with various business units within TCHC as well as external partners/organizations
Consult and collaborate with other business units and executive leadership as appropriate to gain their feedback on content areas
Coordinate joint initiatives with other divisions
Project manage the delivery of key internal change projects including changes to policies, procedures and business processes to improve customer service
Develop recommendations to improve business processes in support of customer service
Collaborate with operations and corporate support teams to support effective change management, training, and communication
Plan and co-ordinate with other divisions to review, update and create procedures related to service standards data and reporting
Supports continuous improvement of a reporting system that allows for a timely flow of necessary data and performance metrics on service standard from all relevant areas
Conducts research on best practices and maintains up-to-date knowledge about customer service and experience and translates it into the TCHC context
Maintains up to date knowledge about the customer experience sector, and builds relationships with other practitioners and experts
Supports development and monitoring of service standards and performance for all service delivery areas
Lead related business intelligence and data analytics projects for the organization
Develop reports, papers, briefing notes, and presentations for internal use and to communicate to stakeholders
Create reports for the executive leadership and Board of Directors and other committees on matters including policy, strategic planning, performance measures, evaluation, strategic initiatives, and other areas
Supports the collection of data and information for report development
Gathers resident, field staff and stakeholder input to inform service delivery priorities
What you’ll need

A combination of post-secondary education in Business Administration or other relevant field (e.g. Commerce, Law, Social Policy, etc.)
- A graduate degree in business administration or other relevant field (e.g. public policy, commerce, law, communications, social policy) (preferred)

5 years of experience (work or co-op) in a large public corporate environment in one or more of the following areas: policy analysis or development, performance measurement, customer service/experience strategies, market research, strategic planning, creation and monitoring of accountability systems.

Proficiency with computerized business applications including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software applications.

Proven ability to analyze and interpret data, prepare reports and statements.

Excellent project management, conflict resolution and organizational skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills

Knowledge of Fire Code, Emergency Management and/or Audit practices considered an asset.
