🔹 Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute short- and long-term financial strategy aligned with business growth.
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO on pricing models, margins, and profitability.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning (growth, stress, and downturn models).
- Drive unit economics (CAC, LTV, gross margin per verification).
2. Revenue & Commercial Finance (IDV-Specific)
- Oversee usage-based, volume-based, and enterprise pricing models.
- Ensure profitability across:
- Document verification
- Biometric verification
- AML / sanctions screening
- Support sales with deal structuring, discounts, SLAs, and enterprise contracts.
3. Regulatory, Compliance & Risk Oversight
- Ensure financial compliance with:
- FCA-aligned governance (where applicable)
- AML / CTF financial controls
- GDPR & data-handling implications from a financial risk perspective
- Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams.
- Prepare the company for audits, due diligence, and regulator reviews.
4. Financial Controls & Governance
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls.
- Own statutory reporting, audits, tax, and transfer pricing (if global).
- Ensure transparency for board reporting and investor updates.
5. Fundraising, M&A & Investor Relations
- Lead fundraising rounds, investor decks, and financial due diligence.
- Manage relationships with:
- Investors
- Banks
- Auditors
- Evaluate M&A opportunities, partnerships, and geographic expansion.
6. Team & Systems Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performance finance team.
- Implement and optimize:
- ERP systems
- Financial reporting tools
- Cost-control frameworks
🔹 Required Experience & Profile
- 10+ years in senior finance roles, preferably in:
- IDV / KYC / FinTech / SaaS / RegTech
Strong understanding of:
- SaaS & API-based revenue models
- Regulatory environments
Proven experience with:
- Scaling companies
- Fundraising/investor relations
- Professional qualification preferred (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
- Board-level communication skills.
