The Chief Financial Officer will work in a senior leadership capacity, reporting directly to the President, and will lead a team of accounting professionals responsible for all accounting and finance functions across the organization and its related entities.
Responsibilities:
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible to:
- Manage all aspects of accounting & finance for the organization, including all of its associated companies.
- Own and manage all financial relationships, including primary banking partners, lenders, and external financial stakeholders
- Develop financial plans for the company
- Evaluate financial metrics of potential acquisitions and provide opinions to the senior executive team
- Develop an exceptional finance and accounting team to support continued growth and expansion
- Oversee the preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements for all the entities
- Provide strategic insight and analysis for opportunities for the group of companies.
- Ensure financial controls are properly in place to safeguard company assets
- Ensure compliance with all required regulations including CRA, GST, and PST
Requirements:
The ideal Chief Financial Officer will possess a Canadian accounting designation, CPA (CA, CGA CMA). You would ideally have previous experience in a real estate development, construction, and or manufacturing environment. ·You will be an influential presence within the organization therefore the proven ability to get results through mentorship and building strong relationships with all stakeholders you interact with is critical to your success.
·You will have at minimum ten years of progressive accounting and finance experience. You are a talented finance professional with exceptional business acumen.
·The Chief Financial Officer will possess effective communication skills and be able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and have a talent for building relationships.
Compensation:
- Competitive base salary in the $170,000-225,000K rage DOQ
