Job Purpose
Cerberus is seeking an Assistant Vice President to join our Sales Operations team, a critical function supporting the firm’s
Capital Formation efforts. This role will primarily support Cerberus’
Private Equity strategy, including our
Venture Capital strategy, and will play a pivotal role in the fundraising process by developing high-quality marketing materials and managing investor communications.
You Will
- Prepare and refine fundraising materials, including marketing decks and analytics that effectively communicate Cerberus’ investment strategy
- Prepare accurate and thoughtful responses to inquiries from prospective investors, including RFPs and ad-hoc requests related to fundraising
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across multiple business areas to ensure timely and compliant delivery of marketing materials
Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Prepare fundraising materials, including client presentations, in a variety of mediums
- Compile and analyze data related to fundraising efforts, synthesizing complex information into clear insights
- Collaborate with investment teams to effectively market funds and firm strategies
- Write tailored, persuasive, and high-quality responses to RFPs to support the firm’s fundraising effort
- Develop a strong knowledge of the firm’s strategies, investment approach and operational/support functions to effectively respond to prospective investor requests
- Research competitors and their fundraising efforts and share key points with capital formation team
- Manage and mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and team efficiency
Key Requirements
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in Private Equity and/or Venture Capital strategies
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail in writing and editing documents
- Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to develop relationships and build credibility with different stakeholders across the firm
The base salary for this position is expected to be between $130,000.00 and $170,000.00. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a robust benefits package.
