Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to lead and elevate our sales organization. The CSO will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing sales and marketing strategies, and strengthening our position in the custom homebuilding market. This role is ideal for a visionary sales leader who thrives in a competitive environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional experiences to prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company growth goals.
- Identify new markets, customer segments, and partnership opportunities within residential construction and custom home sales.
- Monitor industry trends and recommend sales innovations and adjustments.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Oversee major client interactions, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure exceptional service and client satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Build and maintain relationships with key sources: architects, real estate agents, etc..
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, design, and marketing to ensure seamless project delivery and consistent brand messaging.
- Align sales goals with marketing initiatives for lead generation and conversion enhancement.
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Implement systems and processes for effective sales tracking, CRM use, and pipeline management.
- Present regular sales performance reports to the executive team with actionable insights.
Qualifications (Not All Are Required For Application)
- Proven Sales Leadership Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years in senior sales roles, ideally in construction, real estate, luxury goods, or related services.
- Strategic Thinker: Strong business acumen with a track record of building successful sales strategies and scaling revenue.
- Universal Leader: Demonstrated ability to inspire, and grow connections with individuals of all backgrounds. The ability to speak more than one language (i.e. Spanish, French, etc.) is also recommended, but not required.
- Client-First Mindset: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Financially Oriented: Proficiency in forecasting, sales analytics, and performance metrics. Familiar with basic accounting and finance principals.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the custom homebuilding market is a strong plus.
