Hays is collaborating with a well-established Darwin-based organisation seeking a Senior Sales Operations Manager to take ownership of a critical sales and service function. This is a hands-on senior role suited to an experienced leader who thrives in operational environments and leads from the front.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Darwin. Applicants must already live locally and have reliable personal transport.

Key responsibilities
- Lead daily sales operations across workshop, mobile service, and warehouse.
- Own key customer relationships and resolve escalations.
- Enforce service standards, pricing accuracy, and account agreements.
- Align sales demand with operational capacity through close coordination with internal teams.
- Drive sales discipline through clear workflows, follow‑up, and conversion tracking.
- Lead, coach, and hold sales teams accountable for performance.
- Run structured sales meetings and performance reviews.
- Oversee quoting, project progress, and customer updates.
- Deliver monthly sales, pipeline, and workload reports.
- Set the standard for customer service, safety, and internal compliance.
Hours and remuneration
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.
- Sales team operates a rotating Saturday shift, 8:00am to 12:00pm. This role will step in when required due to resource gaps.
- Salary ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 plus super, dependent on experience.

- Proven success leading teams and driving accountability.
- Strong background in customer-focused operational environments.
- Experience driving revenue growth and improving profitability.
- Ability to manage complex customer needs and deliver practical solutions.
- Strong planning and organisational capability.
- Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft tools and business systems.
- Exposure to hydraulic products or industrial components is highly regarded.
- Mechanical or trade knowledge adds value.
