General Description
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as the bank’s senior financial executive responsible for safeguarding financial strength to enable profitable and sustainable growth. The CFO provides strategic leadership of all finance, accounting, budgeting and capital planning.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Establishes, coordinates, and maintains a financial accounting and reporting system for the bank, the holding company, and the credit card division.
- Responsible for the development of entity budgets and the ongoing analysis of the results of operations.
- Responsible for the development of the financial strategic plan and the ongoing analysis of the results of operations.
- Analyzes and interprets operating results for all entities and reports those results to senior management and the board of directors.
- Functions as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Responsible for oversight and reporting on bank investments.
- Responsible for holding company reporting, oversight and dividends. Prepare required Federal Reserve reporting.
- Responsible for all financial institution regulatory and GAAP reporting to include GAAP financials, Call Reporting and board packages.
- Responsible for all aspects of Asset Liability Management. Chairs the ALCO Committee. Monitors and directs short and long term liquidity requirements.
- Provides leadership and supervision to the Financial Accountant responsible for the oversight of the of the Accounts Payable area.
- Provides leadership and supervision to the Financial Accountant responsible for the oversight of the credit card division accounting functions.
- Provides leadership and supervision to the supervisor of the Accounting area that handles general ledger reconciliations, disputes and other legal document handling related to customer accounts.
- Oversees all multi state tax requirements.
- Responsible for the oversight of fixed asset accounting and related depreciation.
- All other duties as assigned.
