Job Description
Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team in advancing the
agency's strategic direction
- Lead, manage, and develop the Finance team, including direct supervision of the
Director of Payroll; ensure ongoing professional development and performance
management
- Act as the primary organizational liaison with the Board Finance Committee, auditors,
bankers, lenders, legal counsel, insurance brokers, vendors, and other external partners
- Prepare and present the agency's annual operating budget, capital planning, and cash
flow forecasts
- Oversee budget development for major funding sources, including United Way and
federal, state, and local government grants
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting for all grants, contracts, and
donor requirements
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including
GAAP-compliant year-end financials
- Present financial reports to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors; coordinate
Board Finance Committee meetings and agendas
- Recommend and execute internal financial decisions; compile and present data
supporting funding, investment, and operational decisions
- Coordinate and oversee annual financial audits, including Single Audit (as applicable),
IRS Form 990, and Form 5500 filings
- Ensure compliant, accurate, and timely payroll operations, including payroll tax filings
and regulatory reporting
- Conduct financial analysis to support organizational decision-making and long-term
sustainability
- Coordinate and submit BBBSA National Self-Assessment
- Oversee administration of retirement and benefit-related financial plans
- Review, approve, and sign contracts and legal documents as an Officer of the
organization

Skills And Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field;
Master's degree preferred
- CPA designation preferred but not required
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial experience, including at least 5 years in a
nonprofit organization
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must successfully complete background and credit checks prior to hire
