Position Overview
The Director of Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth across Trilogy Laboratories’ manufacturing services and owned consumer brands. This role oversees the Brand Consultant sales team, establishes sales strategy, ensures disciplined execution of the sales process, and owns performance across multiple channels.
In addition to managing contract manufacturing and private label sales, the Director of Sales has direct responsibility for the growth of Trilogy’s owned brands, including IDSKIN (sold to licensed estheticians) and YNS (retail brand). This role requires a leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and manage the Brand Consultant sales team
- Establish sales targets, KPIs, and accountability structures
- Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing sales talent
- Conduct regular pipeline, forecast, and performance reviews
- Foster a consultative, customer-centric sales culture
Manufacturing & Private Label Sales Strategy
- Own sales strategy for private label, custom formulation, and custom manufacturing services
- Ensure consistent qualification, pricing discipline, and deal execution
- Collaborate with operations, formulation, and design teams to align capacity and timelines
- Identify new market segments, partnerships, and growth opportunities
Owned Brand Sales Responsibility (IDSKIN & YNS)
- Develop and execute sales strategy for IDSKIN, sold through licensed estheticians
- Build programs, incentives, and education to drive adoption and reorders for IDSKIN
- Oversee wholesale, retail, and distribution strategy for YNS
- Collaborate with marketing on promotions, launches, and brand positioning
- Monitor channel performance and adjust strategy to maximize profitability
Forecasting, Reporting & CRM Oversight
- Own sales forecasting and revenue reporting across all channels
- Ensure CRM adoption, data integrity, and pipeline accuracy
- Analyze performance metrics to guide strategic decisions
- Provide regular reporting to executive leadership
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations to align sales commitments with production capacity
- Work with Finance on pricing models, margins, and commissions
- Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation, brand strategy, and campaigns
- Support product development and lifecycle planning
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in skincare.
- Proven experience building and managing consultative sales teams
- Experience with private label, contract manufacturing, or B2B services preferred
- Experience selling professional and/or retail skincare brands
- Strong understanding of multi-channel sales strategies
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics
