Job Overview
The Senior Director, Business Operations is responsible for driving operational excellence and implementing strategic initiatives defined by the business unit in collaboration with centers of excellence (COEs). This position plays a critical role in establishing, analyzing, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) while proactively implementing corrective measures to achieve organizational targets and optimize business performance.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Serve as a key member of the business unit leadership team, contributing to the development and execution of strategy, policy, corporate initiatives, and financial objectives.
- Execute and communicate strategic initiatives and operational goals established by the business unit leadership.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performance management team while cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Establish, analyze, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively implementing corrective actions to achieve operational targets and drive exceptional results.
- Support (and lead when appropriate) enterprise client implementation initiatives from discovery through deployment, partnering with cross-functional teams to design integration architectures and solution frameworks that meet complex business requirements while ensuring seamless adoption and minimal disruption to client operations.
- Serve as the primary operational executive resource for enterprise clients, developing communication strategies and engagement frameworks that build trust, ensure transparency throughout implementation and delivery phases, and foster long-term partnership success.
- Own strategic vendor management strategy and execution, including contract negotiation, SLA definition and monitoring, performance evaluation, and relationship governance to optimize cost efficiency and service quality across the vendor ecosystem.
- Drive the end-to-end product delivery lifecycle by managing a team of product managers, establishing clear roadmaps and prioritization frameworks, and overseeing internal product and feature rollouts to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives and user needs.
- Establish and advance the business intelligence roadmap by identifying critical data needs, prioritizing analytics capabilities, and translating insights into actionable recommendations that drive operational excellence and informed decision-making across the organization.
- Design and implement operational process optimization initiatives across business operations, client operations, and product operations, leveraging data-driven methodologies to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce cycle times, and enhance both internal productivity and external client satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency, recommending and implementing improvements to organizational processes, resource allocation, and technology utilization.
- Support the quarterly and annual budgeting process with P&L oversight and financial management responsibilities.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to direct reports and team members.
- Collaborate effectively across business units and with COEs to advance the organization's goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, management, or related field required; MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive professional experience with a strong background in operations management.
- 7+ years of leadership experience in roles such as operations management, project management, product development, customer success, or related disciplines.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Strategic and results-oriented leader with an entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated success in driving collaboration, building consensus, and leading initiatives that achieve business objectives, foster growth, and deliver measurable outcomes aligned with organizational and client goals.
- Proven ability to set clear expectations and address questions and concerns in a productive, professional, and timely manner.
- Healthcare technology experience preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role will manage staff and exercise supervisory responsibilities in accordance with corporate policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; conducting performance appraisals; providing recognition and corrective action; and addressing employee concerns and resolving workplace issues.

Salary Range: $148.000 - $185,000 USD + up to $20,000 ICP
