Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and drive sustainable growth. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including corporate accounting, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations), and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act).
- Lead risk management initiatives by conducting thorough risk analysis, implementing internal controls, and managing regulatory reporting obligations.
- Manage treasury functions including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships to optimize financial resources.
- Supervise financial reporting processes; interpret complex financial data to prepare clear reports for executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Oversee profit & loss statements, expense management, cost control measures, and revenue cycle management to maximize profitability.
- Drive business development efforts through market analysis, strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions activities, and identifying new revenue opportunities.
- Lead a high-performing finance team by providing mentorship in areas such as financial modeling, technical accounting, tax accounting, supply chain finance, and payroll management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles with extensive supervisory experience in managing finance teams.
- MBA required
- Strong technical background with expertise in SOX compliance, IFRS, GAAP, IAS standards, ASC 606, COSO frameworks, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated success in mergers & acquisitions integration and strategic business development initiatives.
- Deep understanding of revenue management strategies across various sectors including governmental or non-profit organizations if applicable.
- Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in financial analysis tools and advanced financial software platforms.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to interpret complex financial concepts for diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on fostering collaboration within cross-functional teams and senior leadership groups.
- Ability to perform detailed risk assessments while maintaining a forward-looking approach to fiscal planning and forecasting.
- Experience in managing treasury functions such as cash flow forecasting and liquidity optimization; familiarity with cost management techniques is highly desirable.
