The Business Operations Executive plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of daily business activities. This position acts as a bridge between management and various departments, driving operational excellence, process optimization, and performance tracking.
The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, monitoring KPIs, preparing MIS reports, maintaining documentation, and ensuring timely execution of tasks and projects. A Business Operations Executive is responsible for identifying process gaps, improving workflows, supporting leadership with data-driven insights, and maintaining operational discipline across the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Operational ownership
- Tracking contracts, renewals, licences, suppliers, and key dates
- Making sure renewals and follow-ups are identified well in advance, not at the last minute
- Maintaining clear records so nothing relies on memory or informal notes
Supporting sales and renewals
- Preparing information ahead of customer renewals and reviews
- Making sure customers receive clear, timely updates — especially when everything is running well
- Supporting the Director with preparation so meetings and pitches are structured and effective
Decision support (not just escalation)
When issues arise, you will:
- Assess the situation
- Prepare clear options with a recommendation
- Escalate with context, not just questions
- Progress sensible next steps if the Director is unavailable, keeping everything visible
This role is about reducing interruptions and noise, not creating more of them.
Structure in a fast-moving environment

Director support
- Preparing meeting notes, follow-ups, and action lists

Experience & skills
- Minimum 3 years of Experience in business operations, executive support, coordination, or a similar role.

- Familiarity with spreadsheets, trackers, and business systems, Judgement, ownership, and reliability are more important than formal qualifications.
