About the Role
Keshava Prabha Microfin is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee our finance and accounting functions. This is a senior leadership role ideal for a finance professional with strong expertise in NBFC operations, regulatory compliance, financial planning, and strategic decision-making.
The CFO will be responsible for managing end-to-end finance operations, ensuring compliance with RBI regulations, and supporting business growth through sound financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all accounting and finance operations of the NBFC
- Prepare, review, and present financial statements, MIS, and management reports
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including RBI filings and statutory requirements
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Monitor cash flow, fund management, cost controls, and profitability
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, lenders, and statutory authorities
- Establish and strengthen internal controls, processes, and documentation
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business and management decisions
- Guide and manage the finance and accounts team
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of overall experience in Accounts & Finance
- At least 5 years of experience in NBFCs or financial institutions
- M.Com or Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and NBFC regulations
- Proven experience in handling audits, compliance, and regulatory reporting
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on experience with Prosper Accounting Software is an added advantage
Preferred Skills
- In-depth understanding of RBI regulations and NBFC compliance
- Ability to work independently and lead a small to mid-sized team
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- High attention to detail with a strategic mindset
