Position Objective
The position of Business Applications Specialist I is for the purpose of supporting the Bellevue School District's business, human resources and operations software applications to ensure the effective use in improving staff productivity and student achievement.
This is a project-based position with annual reviews to determine continuation for the duration of the project which is anticipated to conclude by December 31, 2027.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
- Supports the day-to-day operations of business, human resources, and operations software applications
- Works closely with departments and schools to resolve problems, answer questions and complete requests
- Tests and evaluates new applications and software enhancements
- Documents technical procedures
- Provides ongoing vendor management
- Keeps up to date on technology advancements and trends
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Reporting Relationships
- Reports directly to and is supervised by the Director of Enterprise Applications
Required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Computer Science or the equivalent
- One-year experience supporting business, human resources and operations software applications
Allowable Substitutions
- Additional years of directly related experience may substitute for the educational requirements
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS (positions In This Class Typically Require)
- Valid Washington State Driver’s license
KNOWLEDGE (position Requirements At Entry)
- Demonstrates knowledge of business, human resources and operations software applications. Bellevue School District currently uses Munis (business and human resources), InTouch (POS), EDULOG and Kronos (transportation), and PCS (nutritional services).

- Updates professional knowledge of new and innovative technology applications to better support district needs

Physical Requirements
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, and push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Conditions Of Employment
CTSA salary classification level 4 $ 44.26/hour - $ 46.59/hour (starting wage of $ 44.26/hour), 20 hours per week, for a 260-day annual assignment. Medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life-insurance eligibility is based upon 630 hours worked within a school year. Retirement provided through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems.
