About the Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to step into a true builder role at a mission-driven, high-growth HR technology organization operating at the intersection of workforce development, public sector impact, and SaaS innovation. With a proven platform, strong revenue momentum, and recent capital investment, the organization is entering its next phase of disciplined, international growth.
As Chief Financial Officer, you will partner closely with the CEO and board to shape financial strategy while helping scale a business that supports people navigating career transitions. You will work alongside a strong controller and leadership team, bringing clarity, rigor, and insight to complex, multi-entity operations while acting as a trusted second-in-command across the business.
What’s in it for You
You will join a people-first organization with a healthy foundation, no short-term fundraising pressure, and a clear mandate to build rather than fix. This is a role for a strategic leader who values collaboration, curiosity, and shared ownership.
You will have meaningful exposure to board-level decision-making, international expansion, and product evolution, all within a culture that values flexibility, trust, and rolling up your sleeves when it matters most.
Your Responsibilities
- You’ll act as a strategic and hands-on business partner to the CEO, helping translate vision and growth priorities into executable financial and operational plans.
- You’ll own the financial strategy, supporting multi-year growth, runway planning, and capital allocation.
- In this role, you’ll partner with the CEO and leadership team on pricing, investment decisions, and market expansion.
- You’ll lead forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling across geographies and business lines.
- You’ll build and scale financial systems, controls, and reporting in a multi-currency environment.
- You’ll oversee accounting, compliance, and risk management, ensuring accuracy and discipline as the business grows.
- You’ll lead board, investor, and external stakeholder reporting with clarity and confidence.
Skills and Qualifications
- CPA designation and Big 4 firm experience required.
- 12-15 years of finance leadership experience in SaaS environments.
- Deep experience with multi-currency, multi-entity operations and international reporting.
- Experience partnering with CEOs and boards on strategic and operational decisions.
- Strong command of SaaS metrics and unit economics, with the ability to operationalize insights.
- A low-ego, hands-on leadership style with strong cross-functional and operational instincts.
Note from the Hiring Manager (CEO)
“We’re looking for a true partner, someone who thinks strategically but isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. This role is about building together, challenging ideas respectfully, and helping the business reach its full potential.”
