POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for providing strategic and operational financial leadership to a publicly traded company with multiple entities. The CFO will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, planning, compliance, and capital management, while ensuring the integrity and efficiency of day-to-day accounting operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic vision with operational execution, while mentoring a small finance team and working closely with the CEO and Board.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for holding company and its subsidiaries.
- Consolidate monthly, quarterly and annual results across multiple subsidiaries and present financial performance to the CEO.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and compliance frameworks.
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape and execute corporate strategy, including growth initiatives, capital allocation, and M&A opportunities.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis across multiple entities.
- Ensure compliance with securities regulations, stock exchange rules, and all public company reporting requirements.
- Lead quarterly and annual reporting, including MD&A, financial statements, and disclosures.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and legal advisors.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and third-party audit firms, ensuring the successful completion of annual audits and reviews
- Support the CEO as needed to communicate financial performance effectively to shareholders and the investment community.
- Manage relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions.
- Communicate company performance and strategy to the investment community clearly and credibly.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Build cross-functional partnerships with operations and business unit leaders to align financial insights with strategic priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- CPA designation strongly preferred. CFA or MBA is an asset.
- 8+ years of senior finance leadership experience, including experience in a publicly traded company.
- Demonstrated experience managing the financial complexities of multiple subsidiaries or business units.
- Deep knowledge of IFRS, CSA regulations, and public company reporting requirements in Canada.
- Hands-on leader comfortable managing both high-level strategy and detailed execution with a lean team.
- Experience with M&A, capital markets, and corporate restructuring is a plus.
- Strong communication and executive presence, with the ability to interact effectively with the Board, investors, and external stakeholders.
- High integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.

- Adaptable and resourceful in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and QuickBooks is a must.

Additional Compensation: Performance bonus and/or equity to be discussed
Office Requirements:
Hybrid role with occasional in-office work (downtown Toronto), 1 day per week
Expected Start Date: March–April 2026
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $180,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
