Job Description:
Summary
The Senior Manager, Workplace Strategy is responsible for ensuring stable global operations across all six of King’s offices. This role will also lead the development of King’s global workplace strategy that supports our business goals and employee needs.
This role will be both hands‑on and strategic, with an emphasis on establishing operational efficiency and then translating those insights into a global workplace strategy.
Responsibilities
- Establish clear processes, policies and guidelines for the workplace
- Lead and manage workplace partner (Sodexo) to consistently improve for optimal efficiency
- Manage relationship and scope of work with workplace partner (Sodexo), inclusive of attending operational, financial and account meetings
- In partnership with Director, Global Workspace Design & Construction, ensure that all physical space projects are successfully delivered
- Own and track (in partnership with Finance) the annual workplace budget
- Data monitoring and analysis to understand space utilization (ie. Office usage stats)
- Establish and own global workplace strategy for King and lead implementation of strategy through initiatives and projects with the workplace team
- Continuous market research and analysis for workplace set up and experience
- Key partner in setting, tracking and forecasting workplace budgets
Scope of work
- Ownership and management of workplace operations, for example:
- IFM supplier contract and management
- Real estate contracts – lease and renewals
- Maintaining office floor maps and office utilization statistics
- Maintaining office rules and policies (inclusive of mobile phones)
- Support Project Coordinator in ongoing workplace projects
- Drive workplace optimisation projects, for example:
- Office moves and restacks
- Office subleases
- Visitor system
- Employee Parking
- Christmas hampers
- Work policy changes that impact our offices
- Act as key contributor for workplace related support needs, for example:
- Events and materials from Event team, Executive Assistants, IT and other stakeholders
- Provide the Director of Design & Construction with insights, suggestions and support with implementation of projects
