About the Role
We are seeking an International Business Operations Principal to play a critical role in driving growth and execution across an international business. This is a senior individual contributor position, partnering closely with Product and Go-To-Market (GTM) leaders to shape strategy, accelerate outcomes, and strengthen operational excellence.
Reporting to the Director of Strategy & Business Operations (International), you will act as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders, helping translate ambitious growth strategies into actionable operating plans. You’ll sit at the centre of decision-making, planning, and execution, setting the pace for delivery and ensuring focus on the highest-impact priorities.
This role is well suited to a strategic operator who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and is comfortable influencing at all levels without direct authority.
Key Responsibilities
Establish Strategic Clarity
- Drive the creation of international growth strategies
- Champion high-impact initiatives and lead strategic deep dives
- Craft compelling strategic narratives and deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders
Connect Strategy to Execution
- Translate external trends and business strategy into clear priorities
- Identify decision points and trade-offs, assess options, and provide data-driven recommendations
- Enable effective and timely decision-making across Product and GTM teams
Accelerate Outcomes
- Lead annual and in-year planning processes
- Translate strategy into executable operating plans with clear ownership and milestones
- Track progress, resolve dependencies, and address areas that are off-track
Drive Efficient Execution
- Own and run core operating rhythms and governance forums
- Strengthen accountability, resource allocation, and performance management
- Implement continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency
Enable Scale and Velocity
- Define and embed scalable frameworks, tools, and best practices
- Ensure operating models are repeatable, durable, and scalable across international teams
Lead Change
- Design and guide change strategies across multiple initiatives
- Influence and coach cross-functional partners through transformation
- Anticipate downstream impacts and manage execution risks
Solve Complex Business Problems
- Rapidly build expertise in new areas
- Apply structured problem-solving to customer and business challenges
- Develop recommendations to improve operating systems, processes, and efficiency
Must-Have Requirements
- Proven experience in business operations, strategy, management consulting, or programme leadership within a complex, international organisation
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior thought partner to Directors and senior leaders
- Strong track record of translating strategy into clear, executable operating plans
- Experience leading annual and in-year planning, prioritisation, and performance management processes
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority
- Highly analytical, with strong commercial judgment and a data-driven decision-making approach
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and driving outcomes independently
