What The Day Will Look Like
In this senior leadership position, you will serve as the primary finance partner to Aon’s Global Reinsurance leadership team, accountable for driving financial strategy, performance, and governance across a sophisticated, global business. Your days will be a blend of strategic influence, analytical leadership, and cross‑enterprise collaboration, including:
- Acting as the senior finance advisor to the Global Reinsurance leadership team, providing sharp, decision‑focused insights on growth, profitability, and capital deployment
- Leading financial input into the operating plan and long‑range strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and return thresholds
- Evaluating major strategic initiatives — including investments, talent deployment, pricing, portfolio mix, and M\&A — with a focus on return on investment, ROIC, and value creation
- Delivering forward‑looking analysis on market cycles, pricing trends, capacity dynamics, and client segment profitability
- Owning financial performance management across the Reinsurance business, including monthly results, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Establishing and refining critical metrics that predict performance and support proactive course correction
- Driving deeper portfolio‑level analytics across geographies, products, client segments, and capital solutions
- Translating complex financial data into concise, executive‑ready insights for senior leadership and the Board
- Partnering with Corporate Planning, Treasury, and Controllership on capital allocation, balance‑sheet decisions, and governance
- Ensuring strong financial controls, compliance, and disciplined execution against business cases
- Leading and developing a high‑performing global finance team, fostering engagement, accountability, and talent growth
- Partnering across Regional CFOs, solution line finance leaders and enterprise teams to ensure consistent insight and execution

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience within complex, global organizations
- Deep expertise in strategic finance, FP\&A, performance management, and capital allocation
- Experience supporting senior leaders in cyclical, market‑driven or financial services sectors — ideally insurance, reinsurance, or capital markets
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability, including valuation and scenario planning
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence across a matrix, and operate effectively at the executive and Board level
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;
MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced degree preferred. Equivalent years of industry experience may be considered.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $200,000 – $230,000 annually.
Actual salary will vary based on education, experience, skills, abilities, internal equity, and geographic location.
Incentives: This role is eligible to participate in Aon’s annual incentive program.
