YOUR IMPACT
Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be responsible to maximize profitability and revenue for OpenText through creating and advising pricing strategies. As a Deal Desk Manager, you will focus on understanding the products and drawing insights from pricing and deal structure trends across the region.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
- Create and advise alternative and innovative pricing strategies and structures based on specific product set being sold (across all revenue streams) and that fulfil the customer’s requirements, whilst maximizing profitability and revenue for OpenText• Understand products, pricing, and licensing structures• Draw insights from pricing and deal structure trends across the region, revenue streams and product sets and advising senior decision makers• Work closely with Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, Global Services, as well as Support to enhance value and consistency across all geographic regions• Communicate with Sales and Senior Executives to provide Deal Desk messaging and to review specific transactions, seeking necessary approvals as required by internal corporate policy• Represent the CEO and CFO in evaluating and approving transactions for maximum overall value• Support Sales by owning the preparation of the P for all new Cloud deals and contract renewals and issuing approved pricing• Participate in, or lead as required, commercial business terms negotiations with customers and internal stakeholders including the coordination of technical, financial and legal aspects of the deals, whilst always ensuring that the company’s interests and customer needs are maintained• Enhance existing processes to streamline the sales cycle
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- 5-8 years of Deal Desk, Bid Management, Sales, Accounting, Legal, Purchasing and/or Sales Operations background• Experience working with Senior Management to CEO level and cultivating positive working relationships with Sales staff• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills• Extensive experience in quickly reading and understanding revenue contracts• Cross functional influencing skills• Experience in delivering high quality guidance against challenging timelines Experience in working with virtual teams across the world• Able to communicate effectively with both technical and commercial specialists involved in the solution development• Strong business and financial acumen, and ability to draft commercial language in contracts• Software industry (SaaS and On Premise) experience is a distinct advantage• Giving support and assistance to other deal desk managers as required• Strong organizational and time management skills along with the ability to work unsupervised• University degree in Finance, Business, Law or equivalent work experience required, Master’s degree and/or Professional designation (in Accounting, Finance or Legal) a plus • Some Travel may be required

Salary Range: $88,410.00 - $145,245.00; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate of salary based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education. In addition to the comprehensive benefits noted above, the role may be eligible for bonus or commissions.
