On Fabrications Ltd (OnFab) is a dynamic UK-based sheet metal fabrication business. We are new to market, however, hold 100 years' experience in the markets we're built to serve. Armed with fresh thinking and an endeavour to improve service and outcomes in the world of fabrication, OnFab specialise in precision components for industries including commercial roofing, cladding, construction and broader fabrication markets.
OnFab is a key business within a well-established construction group which has grown year on year since its inception in 2019 and is on track for its highest revenue year to date.
We are growing the team who are passionate about quality craftsmanship and innovation, and we're looking for a talented professional to join our team in a pivotal role that combines management of operations, clients and some business development.
The Role:
As our Business Operations & Revenue Manager you'll be at the heart of our business, playing a crucial part in both our growth and operational excellence. This is a broad, hands-on role offering a unique opportunity to help shape a modern fabrication business.
You will drive revenue through proactive management of existing clients, enlarging the sales opportunities through effective account management skills but primarily by delivering excellent service to these clients via an optimised operational function that you will develop and lead.
You will be well supported in this role by the leadership team, covering both your operations and revenue role objectives. You will directly manage the internal administration team, together the team are focused on delivering operational excellence and rapidly increasing revenue opportunities.
This position is ideal for someone who wants to directly contribute and genuinely influence how a growing business operates whilst enlarging their proven operational and client / supplier management skillset.
We are excited how the role and successful individual will develop as OnFab grows; we envisage opportunities in exploring new name sales and/or broadening the management scope to include other parts of the Group’s operational functions as key progression paths for the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end OnFab Operations ensuring Standard Operating procedures (SOP’s) are in place and adhered to, that Compliance and Health & Safety responsibilities are properly managed supported by the wider management team,
- Own operational planning to ensure we consistently deliver on our commitments to clients in collaboration with the existing management team,
- Identify and influence opportunities for process efficiency improvements across the business; those agreed will be yours to manage and deliver aligned to the Operational plan.
- Create enduring long-term relationships with clients understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to help retain and grow their accounts,
- Manage suppliers who support the business to ensure excellent client delivery is maintained,
- Coordinate job prioritisation, working closely with Fabrication production teams to optimise workflow and meet customer expectations from a delivery and quality perspective,
- With training and support from technical colleagues, be confident collaborating with production and sales colleagues to ensure accurate quotations and estimates are both competitive and deliverable within required timescales based on technical drawings and customer specifications.
- Identify cross sales opportunities promoting OnFab catalogue products alongside the required order.
- Oversee stock ordering and stock control, ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules.
- Attend client meetings (site visits where required) to discuss projects and present our capabilities.

- An individual looking to grow with the business who is excited about the new name sales opportunities and/or making an impact to the operational areas across the Group.
Desirable attributes and experience in addition to above:
- An understanding of sheet metal processes (e.g., bending, welding, fabrication) or a genuine willingness to learn.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (ideally from a metal or construction background)
- Experience with CRM systems and comfortable with operational tools and systems is advantageous
