Work experience
- 4-7 years hands-on experience in software development with significant focus on Python, JavaScript and SAP CPQ
- Optimize and refactor existing codebases to enhance performance and maintainability.
- Explore and evaluate Generative AI techniques for potential integration into existing software systems.
Mandatory technical & functional skills
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language and its standard library
- Experience with web frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
- Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL).
- Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred technical & functional skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is often preferred.
- Experience with any front-end framework such as Angular, React, Vue.js, etc.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Required Bilingual Soft Skills
- Strong bilingual communication skills in Japanese (preferably JLPT/NAT N3 or above) to effectively interact with Japanese clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to clearly articulate requirements, issues, and solutions in both Japanese and English across cross-functional teams.
- Strong command over both languages to influence key stakeholders through business acumen, technical understanding, and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
- Prior experience in managing expectations and driving alignment between Japanese-speaking stakeholders and global teams.
- Ability to understand functional and technical requirements in Japanese and deliver as per client expectations through effective communication
- Experience working in Japan or with Japan-based clients or team is an added advantage.
