East West Hospitality is seeking a strategic, people-oriented leader to elevate how we manage and deliver business applications across the organization. This role requires both clear vision and hands-on execution, someone who can design scalable frameworks while actively engaging in the work to bring them to life.
The VP of Business Applications will build structure in a complex, multi-entity environment spanning hotel operations, HOA management, vacation rentals, and corporate functions. Success requires comfort with ambiguity, the ability to align diverse stakeholders, and the discipline to create operational clarity where it does not yet exist.
This leader will establish intake, prioritization, and delivery models that improve transparency and predictability, while mentoring and developing a growing team. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen and an active curiosity about emerging tools, including AI, and how they can streamline processes, enhance decision-making, and scale the business.
This is an opportunity to architect a modern, scalable operating model for business applications, shaping how technology enables the company’s next phase of growth
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for business applications aligned with company growth objectives.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate AI-driven capabilities into processes and applications, using emerging tools to streamline workflows, enhance decision-making, and improve user experience.
- Design and implement scalable frameworks for evaluating, onboarding, and managing new applications.
- Develop and lead a high-performing team that delivers business outcomes.
- Build meaningful, trust-based relationships across teams, departments, and business units.
- Lead with authenticity and purpose, creating an environment where people feel heard, respected, and valued.
- Communicate with transparency, ensuring clarity around decisions, priorities, and tradeoffs.
- Help teams navigate complexity with steadiness and integrity, reinforcing the connections that make change sustainable.
- Embed EWH’s cultural values into frameworks and operating models, ensuring that transformation supports trust, collaboration, and authentic engagement.
Ecosystem Management
- Own the business application landscape - assess current systems, identify gaps, manage lifecycle (evaluate, implement, maintain, retire).
- Ensure applications are configured to optimize security, usability, performance, and business value.
- Coordinate with IT and Data teams to ensure cohesive system architecture and governance.
- Provide strategic guidance on technical configuration, administration, integration, and optimization of key SaaS applications to ensure they meet evolving business needs and integrate effectively across the ecosystem.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Serve as a key partner to business leaders (VPs, Directors, and Managers) to identify needs, clarify priorities, and co-design solutions.
- Build frameworks for intake and prioritization of requests; communicate tradeoffs and timelines effectively.
- Promote the importance of Business Champions in each department and make sure change is implemented clearly and responsibly.
- Partner with internal business owners and critical application vendors to ensure solutions are implemented, configured, and supported in ways that meet business needs and align with the broader application ecosystem.
- Facilitate alignment between business partners, IT Operations/Infrastructure, and Data teams to ensure that application changes are understood, coordinated, and supported across all impacted areas.
Team Management
- Lead a small (initially 2-3 resources), blended team of leaders, project managers/analysts (focused on process, delivery, and business partnership) and technical specialists (focused on configuration, administration, and oversight of SaaS applications).
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and skill development to elevate team capability over time.
- Set clear expectations, define roles, and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Grow and evolve the team as organizational needs expand, ensuring alignment with long-term business application strategy.
- Foster a team environment grounded in authenticity, transparency, and collaboration, ensuring each team member feels connected to the mission and supported in their growth.
Operational Delivery
- Oversee implementation of new applications and enhancements, ensuring quality, change management, and business readiness.
- Partner with business partners to drive adoption through training, support, and collaborative rollout strategies.
- Track and communicate metrics that reflect value delivered, including system performance, user satisfaction, and business impact.
- Drive change in a way that strengthens trust, through clear communication, engaging partners early, and understanding the impact of changes on teams and operations.
