Bornhava-Specialized Early Childhood of WNY, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, established in 1983, committed to providing nurturing and play-based education for children with differing abilities from birth to five years old. Approved by the New York State Department of Education and Early Intervention Services, the center offers programs tailored to children with developmental differences, including Down syndrome, Autism, and Cerebral Palsy. Our program features full-day and half-day classrooms, as well as integrated classes where children with and without developmental differences learn together. The multidisciplinary team includes special education professionals, therapists, consultants, and medical staff, creating a well-rounded support system for children and their families. Role Description
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial operations and strategies, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include financial planning, budget management, analysis of financial performance, and overseeing financial statements and reporting. As part of the executive team, the CFO will contribute to strategic planning and resource allocation. This is a full-time, on-site position located in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls area.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Financial Planning, Financial Statements, and general Finance knowledge
- Strong Financial Reporting capabilities and Analytical Skills for interpreting data
- Proven leadership in managing budgets, resources, and financial teams
- Proficiency in using financial tools and software to ensure accurate reporting
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
- Familiarity with non-profit financial operations is highly advantageous
