The South Region of FT includes nine hospital locations, 16,500+ employees, more than 2,100 physicians, more than 45 health centers and clinics, and draws patients from throughout the Midwest and the nation. In its most recent fiscal year, ED visits were 194,671, outpatient visits were over 1.7 million, inpatient admissions to its hospitals were over 58,000 and visits to its network physicians exceeded 1.17 million. Net revenues for the South Region are approximately $4B.
The Opportunity
FT is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Chief Financial Officer, South Region (CFO, South Region). This is an outstanding career opportunity for a strategic and results-oriented financial executive to join one of the most highly regarded health systems in the United States. The CFO, South Region will serve as a strategic business partner to the FT system CFO and to the President, South Region CEO to drive exceptional performance for the South Region. This leader will oversee all financial operations for all healthcare facilities and services in the South Region.
Ideal Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive responsibility in a Finance function.
- Five years of formal senior level leadership experience in a healthcare industry setting is required.
- Must have a proven track record of success in leading profitable financial operations for a multi-site, multi-service line, and sophisticated healthcare enterprise.
- Strong knowledge and skills across the finance function (financial operations, budgeting, strategic financial and capital planning, revenue cycle, decision support, IT systems, etc.).
- Must have a strong understanding of and demonstrated skills in leadership, strategic management, change management, communications, team building, continuous quality improvement, problem solving, decision making, innovation, financial management, and stewardship of resources.
- Able to influence and generate consensus, reaching across organizational boundaries to collaborate and achieve objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with a variety of individuals, including the executive team, board members, physicians, the public, and external agencies and organizations.
- Track record of financial planning and operations that aligns with population health goals and community wellness initiatives.
