A large privately owned hospitality and lifestyle group is seeking a CFO to lead the operational finance function across a diverse portfolio of hospitality, retail and branded assets.
Based in Malta, this role will work closely with the executive leadership team and ownership to strengthen financial controls, consolidations and reporting across the group as the business continues to scale.
The organisation operates a significant multi-site portfolio across hospitality, food & beverage and retail environments and is now centralising its finance function to support the next phase of growth.
Portfolio including hotels, restaurants, branded hospitality partnerships and retail operations.
1) The Opportunity
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational finance engine of the group. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening financial discipline across the organisation while leading a large finance team and implementing more structured financial processes. This role will focus on building a centralised, efficient and scalable finance function capable of supporting continued growth across multiple operating businesses.
2) Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational finance function across multiple group entities
- Oversee financial controls, accounting operations and reporting processes
- Manage group consolidations across a complex multi-entity structure
- Lead and develop a finance team of approximately 45 professionals
- Implement stronger SOPs and finance processes across the organisation
- Improve reporting accuracy, consolidation discipline and financial governance
- Streamline financial interfaces between business units and entities
- Support leadership with clear financial visibility and operational insight
3) Candidate Profile
We are looking for a finance leader with strong operational depth and experience within multi-site hospitality environments.
3.1) Essential
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Senior finance leadership experience within hospitality, leisure or multi-site F&B groups
- Experience managing complex multi-entity organisations
- Strong consolidation and reporting capability
- Proven ability to lead large finance teams
3.2) Preferred
- Experience within entrepreneurial or family-owned hospitality groups
- Background in mid-market hospitality platforms rather than large corporate hotel chains
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving, commercially driven environments

- €200,000 – €250,000 base salary
