Marks Sattin Executive Search is working with a leading PE-backed, multi-site consumer-facing business to appoint a commercially driven Chief Financial Officer. This is a pivotal opportunity to lead the financial and strategic agenda through the next phase of value creation and position the business for a successful exit in the near term, with meaningful capital upside potential.
As CFO, you will play a central role in shaping and executing the exit strategy, working closely with the CEO and Private Equity stakeholders to maximise enterprise value. Your mandate will be to drive EBITDA growth, enhance cash generation, and ensure the business is operationally and financially optimised for transaction.
Operating across a dispersed multi-site network, you will ensure robust financial governance, accurate and timely performance reporting, strong cash management, and scalable processes that support both ongoing growth and full transaction readiness. You will embed consistent KPI frameworks, strengthen cost control disciplines, enhance procurement oversight, and improve performance visibility across all locations.
You will take full ownership of the finance function, delivering rigorous forecasting, disciplined working capital management, and high-quality board and investor reporting. A key priority will be ensuring clean data, strong controls, and a compelling investment narrative to support due diligence and exit execution.
Alongside the strategic agenda, you will lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering accountability, pace, and continuous improvement. Acting as a trusted partner to operational leadership, you will translate financial insight into tangible performance improvement initiatives across the business.
The ideal candidate will be:
- A qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA).
- An experienced PE-backed CFO or autonomous Finance Director within a multi-site consumer business (retail, leisure, hospitality or similar).
- Proven in scaling performance and leading a business through a successful exit or transaction process.
- Strong in governance, reporting, cash management, procurement oversight and multi-location performance optimisation.
- A commercially astute and influential leader, comfortable operating at board level while engaging effectively across operational teams.
Please understand that due to the expected high number of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly.
