Chief Revenue Officer

The Role

The incoming hire will take over the company's commercial function entirely and own it end-to-end. This is a greenfield GTM build, there is no existing sales team, no formal pipeline process, and no demand generation infrastructure. The right person builds all of it.

The role spans transactional and volume sales across startup, mid-market, and enterprise buyers; outbound and inbound demand generation; and channel/partnership development (specialist distributors, OEMs, and reseller networks).

Ideal Candidate Profile

Proven GTM builder at an early-stage deep tech or hardware startup
Has built pipeline and closed deals from zero
Has sold physical/hardware products into both technical buyers and regulated or clinical environments
Comfortable managing high-volume transactional deal cycles alongside longer-cycle enterprise and partnership conversations in parallel
On-site/HQ-based role; relocation considered
Operator mentality: writes their own emails, builds their own lists, sets up their own CRM, and doesn't wait for resources that don't exist yet

What This Is Not

This is not a VP of Sales role at a well-resourced company with a team underneath. It is a hands-on, individual-contributor-first position, with a path to building a team once the playbook is proven. Candidates who need existing infrastructure to perform will not thrive here.

The role also includes ownership of invoicing, estimates, purchase order creation, and financial administration (e.g. accounting software). A well-rounded position for someone who wants true ownership.
