We’re looking for a Quote‑to‑Order Operations Specialist to own a critical handoff point in the commercial pipeline — the moment when contract data is validated, cleaned, and passed downstream to provisioning and billing.
In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of GTM, Revenue Operations, Revenue Accounting, and Legal, acting as the quality gate that ensures what was sold aligns with what gets activated.
Day-to-day, you’ll review quotes and order forms for accuracy, triage inbound redline requests, validate contract data in Salesforce before it flows into downstream systems, and help sales reps navigate evolving deal policies. You’ll also lead a meaningful backfill initiative to bring historical contract data up to the same standard applied to new deals.
This is a run‑the‑business role with real ownership. SLAs are tight, deal volume is growing, and downstream systems rely entirely on the accuracy of the data you certify. Responsibilities
Operational Quality & Validation
- Validate contract data in Salesforce and the Price Sheet before opportunities hand off to Order Management for provisioning.
- You are the control point for commercial terms, pricing, Org UUIDs, and commit structures.
- Review and approve quote creation, quote edits, and new Org UUID requests; support commit reviews during data migrations.
Redline & Contract Handling
- Triage inbound order form redline requests:
- Resolve in‑scope edits (customer info, term dates, commercial terms, payment terms, minor cleanup).
- Escalate out‑of‑scope items to Legal the same day to maintain turnaround SLAs.
- Guide Account Executives through deal policy — unified discounts, ramp structures, approval paths — and help shift in‑flight deals from legacy quote formats to new ones.
Data Stewardship & Backfill
- Lead a historical data backfill initiative to bring all existing contracts up to current validation standards.
- Track patterns in errors and escalations; surface insights to Revenue Operations, Revenue Accounting, and Legal to improve upstream processes over time.
- Maintain process documentation to ensure the playbook is durable and scalable.
Requirements
- 3+ years in deal desk, order management, revenue operations, sales operations, or a related role managing data accuracy in a quote‑to‑cash workflow.
- Truly detail‑oriented — not as a résumé cliché, but as a trait colleagues would independently attribute to you.
- Ability to compare an order form and a Salesforce opportunity side‑by‑side and spot discrepancies.
- Clear, diplomatic communication skills with sales teams under quota pressure as well as legal and accounting partners with different constraints.
- Ability to move quickly without sacrificing accuracy — you see a tight SLA and a high quality bar as equally non‑negotiable.
- Comfort operating in evolving processes, with an instinct to distinguish between:
- ambiguity due to ongoing decision-making, and
- ambiguity caused by something breaking.
Strong Candidates May Also Have
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, CPQ (ideally nue.io), Ironclad, DocuSign, or similar quoting and contract tools.
- Familiarity with consumption‑based or usage‑based pricing models (commits, ramps, drawdowns, true‑ups).
- Experience at a high‑growth SaaS or cloud company where processes change significantly over time.
- A track record of handling order form or contract redlines without requiring Legal involvement for every change.
