Business Operations Manager - Regulatory Initiative
Our client is a global eCommerce marketplace and they are seeking a Business Operations Manager to support a global regulatory initiative that coordinates responses to evolving regulations impacting a large digital marketplace ecosystem.
Location: Downtown Toronto
Hybrid / in-office: 2 days per week
Contract: 1 year (with potential for renewal)
The role supports the Head of Planning & Operations and focuses on keeping complex, cross-functional programs running smoothly. This includes coordinating stakeholders, maintaining operational reporting, preparing leadership updates, and ensuring visibility into risks, dependencies, and progress across the initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- supporting day-to-day operations of a large regulatory program and maintaining program plans and tracking systems
- coordinating weekly team meetings, leadership updates, and action tracking
- preparing materials for senior leadership reviews and executive briefings
- partnering with cross-functional teams including Product, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, and regional teams
- drafting and distributing regular program communications and reporting updates
- supporting annual and mid-year planning cycles and consolidating inputs from program leads
- assisting with financial reporting, forecasts, and impact assessments
- helping prepare business cases, investment proposals, and initiative reporting
- contributing to executive summaries, benchmarking research, and special strategic projects
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in operations, program coordination, or business operations roles
- strong experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and reporting cycles
- excellent organizational and operational execution skills
- ability to work across multiple workstreams in fast-moving and ambiguous environments
- strong written communication and presentation development skills
- comfort working with data, dashboards, and forecasting inputs
- proven ability to support leadership teams with clear reporting and operational visibility
