This position serves as a multifaceted Operations and Systems Administrator for the Office of Financial Services (OFS). Responsibilities include IT administration, financial oversight, and personnel management.
In terms of IT administration, the role involves managing user access, troubleshooting, and assisting with recruitment processes. Financial responsibilities encompass completing variance reports, managing contracts, conducting audits of the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements set by the Georgia Office of the State Treasurer.
Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring that new hires receive the necessary physical equipment, software access, and training that will help them succeed.
Under general supervision, performs complex administrative duties and statistical, financial, or operational data analysis and reporting in support of management decision making in functional area. Identifies trends, discrepancies, and variances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. May partner with other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to address business issues. Exercises various latitudes of independent judgment. May administer or provide high level support for various projects, grants, contracts, implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions. Assists with orientation, training, or providing task guidance of junior team members.

- Financial and Operational data analysis and reporting
- Analyze, monitor, and control a $4 million annual operating budget.
- Analyze general ledger date for expiring and closed grants.
- Compile and review data for State Treasury reporting.
- Lead orientation and onboard training for new team members
- Ensure equipment is set up with the applications needed to begin work
- Provide training on OFS Core Values, Mission, and Team Organization
- Provide introductory training to OFS functional areas and purposes
- Provide training on OFS Telework policies and procedures
- Provide training on critical systems and office applications (TeamWorks, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
- Associate degree in communication, English, or public relations from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of experience related to area of assignment;
OR
- One (1) year of experience required at the lower level Busi Support Analyst 1 (GSP130).
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience:
- Three (3) years or more in an office administrator role
- Proven experience with analyzing financial data
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel Skills (will be tested)
- Knowledge and experience with other Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
