About Metris Energy
At Metris, we're on a mission to accelerate the energy transition by helping solar owners manage their asset(s) autonomously. Today, our platform delivers real-time data on thousands of solar projects across the UK and automates time-consuming tasks involved in solar management — including monitoring, fault detection, reporting, and billing. Next, Metris is building proprietary AI to enable the autonomous operation of small-scale renewable assets. Following strong traction in the UK, we are now expanding into Europe, with Germany as our first major international market.
The Role
We are looking for a Go-To-Market Lead to launch and scale Metris in Germany.
This is a highly entrepreneurial role for someone who wants to own a market from the ground up. You will be responsible for establishing our commercial presence in Germany — building pipeline, closing early customers, developing partnerships, and shaping our local go-to-market strategy.
In the early phase, you’ll personally drive revenue and build deep relationships across the German solar ecosystem. As the market grows, you will help define the strategy, playbook, and team needed to scale Metris across the region.
You’ll work closely with the founders and product team to adapt our positioning, messaging, and offering to the German market.
What You’ll DoOwn Metris’ market launch in Germany
- Lead our go-to-market strategy and execution in Germany
- Develop and validate the local value proposition
- Build Metris’ reputation within the German solar and energy ecosystem
Build and close pipeline
- Identify and prioritise target customers such as asset owners, real estate groups, infrastructure investors, and asset managers
- Drive deals from first conversation through to contract close
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across asset management, finance, and sustainability teams
Establish the local GTM engine
- Develop outbound and partnership strategies tailored to the German market
- Shape pricing, packaging, and positioning based on market feedback
- Define sales processes, KPIs, and forecasting for the region
Lay the foundations for scale
- Help design the repeatable revenue engine for Germany
- Support hiring and building the future local commercial team
- Act as the voice of the German market internally
Who We’re Looking ForMust-haves
- 5–8 years of experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or energy-tech sales
- Experience building pipeline and closing complex deals
- Fluent in German and English
- Experience selling to senior decision-makers (C-level, Heads of Function)
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, early-stage environments
Nice-to-haves
- Experience selling into energy, solar, real estate, or infrastructure sectors
- Strong network within the German energy or renewables ecosystem
- Experience launching a new market, region, or product
- Background in climate tech or sustainability
