About the Role:
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to support a growing group of businesses. The role will sit within U-Rite and work across multiple operating entities spanning technology, real estate, and hospitality.
This role will work closely with leadership to oversee financial operations, reporting, and strategy across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a hands-on environment while helping bring structure and visibility to the financial side of the business.
Responsibilites
- Oversee financial operations across multiple businesses and legal entities
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, bookkeeping, and tax remittances
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review monthly financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
- Monitor financial performance and key business metrics
- Manage cash flow and banking relationships
- Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, and financial partners
- Support financial modeling, growth initiatives, and strategic planning
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations
- Experience working with financial reporting and bookkeeping processes
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills
- Familiarity with Canadian tax and financial reporting requirements
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment across multiple businesses
- CPA or equivalent designation is an asset
