BWE Drilling is a leading drilling services provider supporting projects across the country. The business operates a modern fleet of more than 50 drill rigs and provides services through three diversified drilling divisions: Drill and Blast; Exploration Drilling and Water-Well Drilling.
After recently rebranding and completing an organisational redesign, we are looking for an outstanding Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the transformation of the finance function and to partner with the business leaders to lay a platform for sustainable business growth.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Chief Financial Officer will lead the finance function, driving disciplined financial performance through rigorous planning, high-quality analysis and prudent capital management. You will work in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team and Operations Managers to enhance business systems, improve decision making and embed operating discipline across the business.
As a trusted advisor to the CEO, you will provide commercial insight, challenge assumptions and use data to inform decision making.
This is an exciting and challenging role that requires an energetic and inspiring leader with a deep understanding of the sector.
To be Successful in Your Application You Will Demonstrate:
· CA or CPA qualifications with at least 10 years senior financial leadership experience;
· Significant experience in Mining Services Contracting – ideally drilling, load-and-haul or other heavy industrial contracting operations in the resources sector;
· A demonstrated track record in driving strategy including communicating and implementing change;
· Strong analytical capability and an ability to translate complex financial data into actionable strategic insight and clearly defined objectives;
· Experience scaling a business would be highly desirable.
