Company OverviewAt Skild AI, we are building the world's first general purpose robotic intelligence that is robust and adapts to unseen scenarios without failing. We believe massive scale through data-driven machine learning is the key to unlocking these capabilities for the widespread deployment of robots within society. Our team consists of individuals with varying levels of experience and backgrounds, from new graduates to domain experts. Relevant industry experience is important, but ultimately less so than your demonstrated abilities and attitude. We are looking for passionate individuals who are eager to explore uncharted waters and contribute to our innovative projects.
Position OverviewAs Business Operations Lead, you will own the internal systems that keep Skild running at full speed — from planning cycles and cross-functional coordination to people programs and operational tooling. You will work directly with the co-founders and leadership team to turn strategic priorities into operational reality. This is a high-ownership role for a builder who thrives on systems thinking and brings structure to a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities- Internal Operating Cadence: Own Skild’s internal operating rhythm — quarterly planning, OKR tracking, cross-functional syncs, and company-wide goal alignment.
- Process Design & Scalability: Identify bottlenecks and build scalable systems and workflows that eliminate friction as we grow.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Keep handoffs clean and blockers surfaced across engineering, product, recruiting, and operations.
- People Operations: Support onboarding, performance programs, org design, and workforce planning in partnership with the talent team.
- Tooling & Systems: Own the internal tools stack — HRIS, project management, and operational software — and ensure it scales with the company.
- Operational Reporting: Build the dashboards and reporting frameworks that give leadership and teams the visibility they need to move fast.
- Special Projects: Take on high-priority problems that don’t yet have a clear owner.
Preferred Qualifications- 5+ years in business operations, strategy & operations, or a related function, with experience in a high-growth startup or tech environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build internal operating systems from scratch — not just optimize what’s already there.
- Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and driving alignment across diverse teams.
- Exceptional organizational skills; able to cut through ambiguity and keep multiple workstreams on track.
- Comfort as a player-coach: willing to execute at ground level while thinking at a systems level.
- Prior experience at a hardware, robotics, or deep tech company is a plus.
