A private equity–backed manufacturing company is seeking an Interim Chief Financial Officer to provide financial leadership during a period of operational transition and executive change. This role will partner closely with executive leadership and private equity stakeholders to stabilize and strengthen the finance function while improving financial visibility across the business.
This engagement requires a hands-on finance leader with strong operational finance and cost accounting expertise who can quickly assess current processes, enhance reporting, and support improved decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Partner with executive leadership and investors to support operational and financial strategy
Improve visibility into business performance across products, customers, and operating locations
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Evaluate and enhance the reliability of location-level financial reporting
- Improve product and customer profitability analytics
- Strengthen financial planning and analysis capabilities
- Develop actionable financial insights to support executive decision-making
Operational Finance
- Assess and improve cost accounting practices within a manufacturing environment
- Review and refine financial allocations across operating sites
- Evaluate the trial balance structure and improve reporting clarity
- Implement stronger financial discipline across the organization
Liquidity & Capital Management
- Oversee cash management and liquidity planning
- Maintain and monitor a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
- Support lender and capital structure requirements related to an asset-based lending facility
Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner closely with the leadership team and private equity operating partners
- Provide guidance and support to existing finance team members
- Assess the current finance organization and identify opportunities to strengthen capabilities
- Help establish a stronger foundation for the long-term finance function
