Position Summary
Primary Responsibilities
The Chief Financial Officer serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and strategic partner to the CEO, Board of Directors, and private equity sponsor. The CFO is responsible for leading all financial functions of the Company, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, capital structure management, third-party lender relations, and Board reporting.
This role ensures the Company maintains strong financial discipline, covenant compliance, operational rigor, and scalable infrastructure to support continued growth in the organization.
Essential Functions
The Chief Financial Officer oversees accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, capital structure management, lender relations, and Board reporting.
Comprehensive oversight for financial reporting and accounting needs
- Direct the timely preparation of all financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including monthly income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets
- Lead and continuously improve the month-end close process
- Oversee internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance
- Oversee the annual audit in partnership with third-party auditors
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax reporting and regulatory requirements
Private Equity & Board Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial packages to the Board of Directors and private equity sponsor
- Lead quarterly Board meeting preparation, including detailed variance analysis, KPI reporting, liquidity updates, and strategic financial insights
- Provide forward-looking forecasts, including annual budgets and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making
- Support value creation planning, performance tracking, and other initiatives typical of private equity-backed companies
Third-Party Debt & Bank Relationship Management
- Serve as primary relationship manager with the Company’s third-party lender
- Ensure full compliance with credit agreement terms and financial covenants
- Oversee preparation and timely submission of covenant compliance certificates, borrowing base reports, and required lender reporting
- Monitor covenants, including leverage ratios, fixed charge coverage ratio, minimum EBITDA thresholds, and liquidity metrics
- Lead refinancing, amendment, or capital structure optimization efforts as necessary
Treasury & Cash Management
- Perform all duties surrounding treasury and cash management, including detailed cash forecasting and working capital management
- Maintain liquidity planning to support debt service requirements and growth initiatives
- Monitor banking relationships and optimize capital deployment
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes
- Monitor financial performance against budget and prior periods; analyze variances and identify trends
- Partner with executive leadership to align operational KPIs with financial performance metrics
- Identify opportunities to improve margin performance and operational efficiency
Growth & Strategic Support
- Support evaluation, diligence, and integration of acquisitions or strategic partnerships
- Analyze new service lines, contracts, and geographic expansion opportunities
- Partner with operations leadership to strengthen financial discipline across the organization
Leadership & Infrastructure
- Build and lead a scalable finance organization
- Develop and mentor accounting and finance team members
- Lead implementation or enhancement of scalable financial systems and reporting tools
- Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential
Useful Skills & Experience
- Experience serving as CFO or senior finance leader
- Demonstrated experience in a private equity-backed company environment strongly preferred
- Direct experience managing third-party debt facilities and covenant compliance preferred
- Experience presenting financial results to Boards of Directors and private equity sponsors preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial modeling, and capital structure management
- CPA preferred; MBA a plus

Physical Job Requirements
- Typical office environment
- Minimal travel may be required to visit company locations and attend Board meetings
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English language
Working Environment
Most job duties will be performed at the corporate office; however, some work may be performed at satellite offices or Board meeting locations.
