About the RoleWe are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function for a high-growth organization in the New Energy and Manufacturing space. This role will be instrumental in driving financial strategy, ensuring strong governance, and preparing the organization for a potential IPO over the next few years.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Finance Leadership- Drive overall financial strategy, planning, and execution aligned with business growth
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across the organization
- Support the organization’s journey toward becoming a market leader in the new energy space
IPO Readiness & Governance- Establish and strengthen compliance frameworks and documentation processes
- Drive readiness for IPO, including governance, reporting, and regulatory alignment
- Ensure robust corporate governance across financial, legal, and operational domains
Financial Operations & Controls- Build and manage strong financial systems, controls, and internal audit mechanisms
- Oversee financial reporting, MIS, and performance tracking
- Drive ERP stabilization and enhancements (preferably Microsoft Dynamics)
Stakeholder & Investor Management- Engage with investors, articulating business vision through financial insights
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities
- Support working capital management and funding strategies
Compliance & Risk Management- Ensure adherence to all statutory, legal, and financial compliance requirements
- Monitor contractual obligations and drive risk mitigation strategies
- Identify and leverage government incentives (Startup India, MSME, Clean Energy, etc.)
Process Excellence & Transformation- Drive process improvements in finance, accounting, and reporting functions
- Lead implementation of new ERP modules and digital initiatives
- Ensure timely invoicing, reporting, and financial visibility
Team Leadership- Build, mentor, and scale the finance and accounting team
- Establish an effective organizational structure within the finance function
Skills & Experience- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 14–20 years of experience in leading finance functions
- Strong experience in manufacturing sector finance
- Proven track record in financial strategy, compliance, and stakeholder management
- Experience in ERP systems (MS Dynamics preferred)
- Exposure to legal, contract management, and risk mitigation
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a dynamic, high-growth environment
