We are conducting a confidential search for a Chief Financial Officer on behalf of a premier, physician-led platform affiliated with a leading regional health system in Southern California.
This is a highly visible executive leadership role with full responsibility for financial strategy, performance, and infrastructure across a growing, multi-site clinical enterprise. The CFO will serve as a key partner to the executive team and physician leadership, helping to shape the organization’s next phase of growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation.
Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer will lead all financial functions of the organization, including strategic planning, financial operations, revenue cycle oversight, and capital deployment. This individual will play a critical role in aligning financial performance with clinical and operational priorities, while supporting expansion initiatives and strengthening the overall business platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior financial leader and strategic advisor to the executive team and physician leadership
- Lead all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategy
- Oversee revenue cycle performance, reimbursement optimization, and payer dynamics
- Drive financial and operational performance across a multi-site, multi-provider platform
- Develop and implement scalable financial infrastructure, reporting, and analytics
- Partner on growth initiatives, including service line expansion, new site development, and potential partnerships or affiliations
- Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and risk management practices
- Provide clear, data-driven insights to support executive decision-making
- Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting organization
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven CFO or senior finance executive experience within healthcare services
- Strong background in physician enterprise, specialty care, or multi-site clinical operations
- Deep understanding of revenue cycle, reimbursement models, and payer strategy
- Experience partnering closely with physician leadership and clinical stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in driving growth, improving margins, and building scalable infrastructure
- Strategic mindset with the ability to operate both hands-on and at an executive level
- Prior experience in high-growth, PE-backed, or health system-affiliated environments is highly valued
