Chief Financial Officer (CFO) | Greater Los Angeles (Onsite)

Reaction Search International, a Forbes-ranked executive search firm, has been retained to identify a Chief Financial Officer for a well-established, family-owned equipment distribution and service organization with a multi-state footprint and a strong reputation for operational excellence and customer service.

This is a highly visible, mission-critical leadership role within an asset-heavy, working-capital-driven business where financial discipline, operational insight, and strong leadership are essential.

The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive team, partnering closely with ownership and leadership to drive performance, improve visibility, and support long-term strategic growth.

This is not a back-office CFO role.

This is a hands-on financial leadership position requiring strong engagement with operations, branch leadership, and cross-functional teams.

Key Focus Areas

• Own all financial operations including accounting, FP&A, treasury, and reporting

• Drive cash flow management, working capital optimization, and financial discipline

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes

• Strengthen internal controls, reporting accuracy, and financial visibility across locations

• Optimize ERP systems (NetSuite) and improve data integrity and adoption

• Partner with operations, sales, and service teams to drive accountability and performance

• Support strategic initiatives, capital investments, and long-term planning

Ideal Profile

• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience

• Prior CFO, VP Finance, or senior finance leadership experience

• Background in asset-heavy, multi-location environments

(equipment distribution, rental, industrial services, manufacturing, or similar)

• Strong expertise in working capital, cash flow, and operational finance

• Experience with ERP systems, ideally NetSuite optimization

• Hands-on, pragmatic leader with strong business instincts

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment

• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
